HISTORY
IRAN-ASEAN Business Council established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in a Council gathering from companies and individuals, based or residing in Malaysia or ASEAN to promote Iran – Malaysia and as general Iran – ASEAN commercial and industrial interests. This Council is known as “IRAN–ASEAN Business Council” or “IABC” in its short form. The “IABC” came to life by the adoption of its first constitution in 10th December 2015 by the founding members.

Organizing business event on January 28th 2016 with the aim of raising awareness of Iran economic sanctions lifted among Malaysian businessmen and exploring business opportunities ahead, in the presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuala Lumpur, and participation of more than 250 people consisting of Iranian and Malaysian businessmen at IABC headquarter.

Organizing an Oil & Gas businesses event in collaboration with Malaysia Oil & Gas Service Council (MOGSC) on April 5th 2016, with the aim of attracting foreign investment to the Iranian Oil & Gas industries, and exploring business opportunities ahead, in presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), with participation of more than 350 people engage in the Oil & Gas industries in MATRADE convention center.

Organizing a Halal businesses forum in collaboration with Halal Industry Development Corporation of Malaysia (HDC) on May 31st 2016 with the aim of expanding bilateral trade in Halal industry, and exploring Halal business opportunities in Iran, in presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Deputy Minister of Trade of Malaysia, with the participation of more than 400 people active in Halal industries in the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade & Industry.

Organizing business networking session entitled “Discover Business Opportunities in Iran” in collaboration with Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MICCI) in November 18th 2016 in MATRADE Convention Center, with the aim of revealing and promoting trade delegation to Iran on December 2016, and the Iran-Malaysia Expo (IMEX 2017) scheduled in April 2017

Dispatching trade delegation of 60 Malaysian companies and authorities (MIDA Dubai) in follow up with University of Tehran delegation on July 26th 2016 to explore investment and business opportunities in Iran, in collaboration with METACO International Group and University of Tehran.
